Are my judgements correct[edit]

Hi @Laʒamon Æft-iboren:. As you can see in the editing history of the page, it was created by an unregistered user but then I deleted most of the content because as far as I know it’s just nonsense. I copied a few of the words and searched for quotation in this Middle English dictionary and didn’t find anything. Since you are more knowledgeable in Middle English than I am I will greatly appreciate it if you can give your opinion as to weather my judgement is correct. Thanks in advance, -Gifnk dlm 2020 (talk) 18:05, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

@Gifnk dlm 2020: Yeah, you're right that what was there was both factually wrong and not Middle English. But also, George VI hasn't been king of the U.K. since he died in 1952! (Although perhaps you were expressing a wish for him to be king again, seeing as you used "bē", which is not usually a 3rd person indicative (i.e. the form that is used to make statements) but could be the subjunctive (used to express wishes, hypotheticals and conditional statements). (This is a - probably not very funny - joke, by the way 😉.)) -Laʒamon Æft-iboren (talk) 19:24, 10 June 2021 (BST)
@Laʒamon Æft-iboren: oh I see.😅😉 I changed it to was. Is that correct Middle English? -Gifnk dlm 2020 (talk) 19:32, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
@Gifnk dlm 2020: Yes, "was" is good. I've expanded the page now. -Laʒamon Æft-iboren (talk) 17:08, 16 June 2021 (BST)
@Laʒamon Æft-iboren: thank you very much! Btw, there’s a request at meta to start allowing ancient languages. I have put a link to it at Wp/enm. -Gifnk dlm 2020 (talk) 17:10, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
